The Race
The second Sprint runs in September. The city is already chosen. It is not named here, and it will not be named anywhere public — the city is revealed inside the pack, and the pack arrives by email.
Five clues drawn from the city's own history. First correct entries take the seats. Entry is free.
The Purse — $575
Chicago's third seat went unclaimed. As promised on the receipts, its $75 rolled forward — every seat in September pays more than it would have.
The Head Start — earned in the hall
Claim a door in the Oracle hall before September 1 — first correct answer on any open door puts your name on it. Registered solvers whose name stands on a door receive the pack on September 1 and enter the portal on September 2, ahead of the public release.
The clock is fair to both tiers: ranking runs on solve time, not the wall clock. Your time is measured from the moment your portal opens to the moment your final correct answer lands. The head start moves your window earlier — it does not shorten anyone else's course.
